Euler's Method, Interactive: Type Any Equation and Watch It Step
An interactive Euler's method explorer. I built this so that I could learn more about Euler's Method.
By Owen Kruse
Use x and y with + − × ÷ ^ and sin, cos, tan, exp, ln, sqrt, abs. Implicit multiplication works: 2xy, y(1 − y).

| n | xₙ | yₙ | f(xₙ, yₙ) | true y | error |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 0 |
| 1 | 0.5 | 1.5 | 1.5 | 1.6487 | -0.1487 |
| 2 | 1 | 2.25 | 2.25 | 2.7183 | -0.4683 |

| 4 | 2 | 5.0625 | 5.0625 | 7.3891 | -2.3266 |
Error at x = 2
- h = 0.5-2.3266
- true y = 7.3891
Turn on Compare to see how the error shrinks each time h is halved.
